As the title implies it’s been snowing like crazy on my end of the planet for the past few days and that means I’ve been locked away in my home. Working on JesseAI and adding in a few more Databases.
I got to thinking about all that I’m doing when it comes to JesseAI. I work almost every day on her and with the weather being as bad as it is, I’m holding up in my home. Though, at this very moment, the suns out and the temperature is warming up slowly. It’s also Remembrance Day in Canada, a day where we show respect and give honor and support to those who fought for our freedom. I myself have a family that has fought in almost every global conflict that always hits a special place in my heart. So, with that being said I thank all those who have fought in keeping freedom alive.
So, while I’m working on more and more Databases for JesseAI, I’m starting to wonder just how far this will go? Do you ever think about that? Just how far a project will go until you reach the end? Some go for weeks or months but once version 1.0 is out the door you can’t stop, it’s a part of you. I know I’ve released Version 1.88.1 awhile ago. Now, I’m going to be renumbering every future release. In the hopes of not making it confusing for those who wish to see everything for what it is. But I’ve also seen my daily life take an odd turn from time to time. While the ice is prominent now everywhere you go, I see that I pass my time working on JesseAI and watching Christmas movies on television. I also slipped on a patch of ice and seriously messed up my back, but I’m doing much better now, just that vibe you get from the spine when you wipe out and land on your side and on your arm. It was a real eye-opener for just how foolish I was for attempting to sprint to my location in the hopes of saving some time.
I also decided it was time in purchasing a replacement Lappy. For those who don’t know what a Lappy is, it’s what I call a laptop, My old Acer was around the same age as my son and it was freezing up with just using Code::Blocks. Which began to be a pain in the side. With just how much I couldn’t do on it anymore. It was a trusty and hardworking machine, but I picked up a new Acer TravelMate | B. Which is a lot smaller and is what my wife says is a Netbook. But it has everything I need including that I can run my Code::Blocks and my favorite PC game on the planet “Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddlers Green”. Since this new Lappy is going to be just for working on JesseAI. It does the job and for a pretty decent price compared to buying just any old Lappy. I’m not being sponsored by Acer in any way but if you need something small and fast for doing what you need to do then pick one up.
With that being said, it’s going to snow here soon again and I’m going to be working my fingers to the bone yet again. Have a wonderful day everybody, I’ll see you guys around. I gotta scratch this programming itch.
